Baseball Scout Notes Privacy Policy
Baseball Scout Notes (the "App") is a single-player management simulation game in which you run a baseball scouting company and discover young prospects. SangLimSoft (the "Company") complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea and other applicable laws.
The App has no sign-up or login, and your game progress is stored only on your device. However, to fix problems in the game and resolve errors, app usage statistics and error information are sent to a collection server operated by the Company (Section 2). If you use the optional player contract persuasion chat (AI), the sentences you enter and related details are also sent to an external AI provider (Sections 5 and 7). Below, we set out separately what stays only on your device and what leaves it.
1. Consent
When you launch the App for the first time, a consent screen appears. You can expand the items to review their contents. You must consent to the required items (Terms of Service and Privacy Policy) to start the game; the optional item “Help improve the app” is not required to use the game. The usage statistics and error information described in Section 2 are sent only after you consent to “Help improve the app”; if you do not consent, they are not sent. The fact that the consent screen was displayed and the consent record are sent together immediately after you consent; if you close the App without consenting, they are discarded without ever leaving the device.
The player contract persuasion chat (AI) is separate from the consent above. We ask for separate consent inside the App the first time you use this feature, and you can keep using the rest of the App if you do not consent (optional). What is sent for the persuasion chat is described in Sections 5 and 7.
The fact that you consented is recorded only on this device, together with the policy version and the time of consent. The Company's servers do not store who consented; only the fact that the consent screen was viewed and consent was given, the version consented to, the number of items on the consent screen, and the time taken to consent are sent as part of the usage statistics described in Section 2. You can view the items you consented to and this Policy again under "Privacy Policy" at the bottom of the App's Settings screen (gear icon at top right).
2. App Usage Statistics and Error Information
To improve the service and fix errors, the following information is sent to a collection server operated by the Company.
- App usage records, such as launching, closing, installing, and updating the App
- Identifiers of the screens you navigated to within the App (Home, Requests, Scouting, Reports, Company, Settings)
- Records of key actions performed in the App: starting a new game; game end (completing 5 seasons, bankruptcy, or restarting with "New Game"; the season reached; funds on hand); season end; accepting requests and the results of competitive bids; the leagues to which scouts are assigned; in-depth observation; report delivery (report grade, the league of the requesting club, whether the player is one of your agency's players) and grading results (hit, miss, or void; whether a performance bonus applied); grading of the first report; missed request deadlines; hiring, training, and departure of staff; license purchases, network openings, metric research, and office expansion; results of agency contract offers; actions blocked because conditions were not met, such as insufficient funds, and the reason; viewing the policy; and display of the consent screen and consent (version, number of items, time taken)
- The point in progress, to identify when in the game the above records occurred (current season and round, save slot number)
- When the same spot is tapped several times within a short period, that fact, the on-screen coordinates of the tapped location, and structural information about the tapped screen element
- Technical information about errors and abnormal terminations
- Usage environment information, such as device type, operating system version, App version, and language setting
- An anonymous identifier used to group the above records into a single installation
The anonymous identifier is a random value generated on the device at installation and is not linked to information that identifies you. Because the App has no login, the Company does not connect this value to any individual's account. However, the anonymous identifier remains the same for an installation until the App is deleted, and a new value is generated if you delete and reinstall the App.
Error information includes the error type, the error message, and technical details about where the error occurred. The error message may include part of the values being processed at the time the error occurred.
The Company operates the collection server directly. While receiving requests, the server briefly checks the connecting IP address solely to prevent excessive requests and does not store it. The infrastructure on which the server runs and the front-end transmission use the vendors listed in Section 7.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
- Information that can identify you, such as your name, email address, or phone number
- Account information — the App has no sign-up or login
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID) and location information — the App contains no advertising
- Screen recordings and content displayed on the screen
- Names of players, clubs, and staff in the game
4. Information Stored Only on Your Device
The following information is stored only on your device so that you can continue your game.
- Game progress information: the company status held in 3 save slots (funds, reputation, staff, facilities, licenses), league and player status, records of requests, reports, and agency contracts, and the number of the last slot opened — in the device's internal storage
- Consent record: the policy version you consented to and the time of consent — in the same internal device storage
- AI persuasion chat identifier and AI-transfer consent: a random value the App creates to count daily use, and your consent choice — in the same internal device storage (deleted together with the App)
This stored information itself is not sent to the Company's servers or to any third party (except the AI persuasion chat identifier, which is sent for the purpose in Section 5), and the Company keeps no separate copy of it. However, the action records described in Section 2 contain parts of your game progress, such as the season, round, and funds on hand, and the persuasion chat (AI) in Section 5 contains parts of it, such as a player's position, age, and grade.
Purpose of processing: to save your game progress so that you can continue playing the next time you launch the App, and to avoid showing the consent screen again if you have already consented to the current version
5. External Communication
The only information the App sends off the device is the information described in Section 2 and, when you use the "Persuade by talking" feature on the player contract screen, the AI persuasion chat information below. The App has no advertising, payment, or external sharing features. When you tap the policy, terms, or support links on the Settings screen, the corresponding page opens in your device's web browser.
AI persuasion chat (optional feature): a feature that lets you talk a player into an agency contract. The first time you use it, an AI data notice screen appears, and the information below is sent only if you consent. You can still sign using the regular contract offer without consenting, and even after consenting you can withdraw at any time by opening the "AI data notice" row under "Privacy settings" on the Settings screen and tapping [Withdraw consent] (after you withdraw, the App asks again the next time you use it).
- Information sent: the lines you pick or type (up to 120 characters each, up to 3 per negotiation) and the replies returned in the player's role; the opposing player's position, age, level, temperament, and difficulty value; the sport and language; and a random identifier the App creates and stores on the device to count daily use (separate from the anonymous identifier in Section 2, and not an advertising ID)
- Information not sent: names of players, clubs, and staff in the game, and information that identifies you such as your name or contact details. Please do not write real personal information in the lines you type.
- Path: App → server operated by the Company (Supabase, Section 7) → AI vendor. Requests go first to Anthropic, PBC; if it cannot respond, to Groq LLC, and then to OpenRouter, Inc.
- Storage on the Company's server: the conversation is not stored. To limit daily use, only a usage count per identifier above is recorded and deleted after 3 days.
- How results are used: the AI's accept or refuse is used only for the in-game contract result and is not used to judge or evaluate you. The AI's replies may be inaccurate or awkward.
6. Information Processed for Inquiries
We receive the request type, your email address, and the content of your inquiry only if you contact us through the inquiry form on the support page or by email. This information is used only to respond to inquiries and to process deletion requests. Content submitted through the inquiry form is stored, together with the app name you selected and the connecting IP address that is saved automatically when the form is submitted (to prevent abuse by excessive submissions), in SangLimSoft's shared inquiry intake storage used across its apps, and the fact that an inquiry was received is passed to the operator as a notification (app name, inquiry type, reply email address, and the first 300 characters of the inquiry). Content sent by email is stored in the Company's mailbox (Section 7). The IP address is used only to prevent abuse.
7. Provision to Third Parties, Outsourcing of Processing, and Transfer Outside Korea
The Company does not sell your information or provide it to third parties for advertising purposes. To the extent necessary to operate the service, we use the infrastructure of the following vendors.
- Cloudflare, Inc.: front-end transmission for the collection server, hosting of this policy page and the support page, and receipt and forwarding of email sent to support@sanglimsoft.com — outside Korea (United States and the countries where Cloudflare has data centers)
- Oracle Corporation: operation of the collection server that receives the usage statistics and error information described in Section 2, and its backups — outside Korea (United States)
- Supabase, Inc.: storage of inquiries submitted through the support page inquiry form, including the connecting IP address; relay of AI persuasion chat requests and storage of daily usage counts (SangLimSoft shared project) — South Korea; the vendor's headquarters are in the United States
- Slack Technologies, LLC (a Salesforce, Inc. company): internal notification to the operator that an inquiry form was submitted (app name, inquiry type, reply email address, first 300 characters of the inquiry) — outside Korea (United States)
- Microsoft Corporation (Outlook.com): receipt and storage of inquiry emails and sending of replies — outside Korea (United States)
- Anthropic, PBC: generating replies for the AI persuasion chat (first choice) — outside Korea (United States)
- Groq LLC: generating replies for the AI persuasion chat (when Anthropic, PBC cannot respond) — outside Korea (United States)
- OpenRouter, Inc.: generating replies for the AI persuasion chat (when the vendors above cannot respond; it may route to the model providers it connects) — outside Korea (United States)
Because these vendors have servers overseas, information is transferred outside Korea in the course of processing (inquiry form content stored with Supabase is located in South Korea, but the vendor's headquarters are in the United States). Except where requested under applicable law, we do not provide information to third parties for purposes other than those above without your consent.
In accordance with Article 28-8 of the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea, the personal information transferred outside Korea is set out in the table below.

We request that model providers neither store inputs and outputs nor use them for training. |
How to refuse and the effect: the information in Section 2 is not sent if you do not consent on the first-launch consent screen (you can still start the game in that case). Even if you have already consented, turning off app improvement participation under Settings › Privacy settings stops collection immediately and requests deletion of the records already sent, and nothing is sent after you delete the App. Inquiry form content and email are transferred only when you contact us; if you do not contact us, nothing is transferred. AI persuasion chat information is not sent unless you consent on the AI data notice (you can still play and sign using the regular contract offer), and after consenting it is no longer sent once you withdraw in Settings. You can withdraw at any time under Settings › Privacy settings › AI data notice › [Withdraw consent]; once withdrawn, only the persuasion chat becomes unavailable.
8. Retention Period and Destruction
The usage statistics and error information described in Section 2 are retained for the purpose of improving the service. If you request deletion, we delete the records linked to that installation's anonymous identifier without delay. Backup copies on the collection server are kept for 30 days and then deleted, so deleted records may remain in backup copies for up to 30 days. Inquiry information (including the connecting IP address saved when the inquiry form is submitted) is deleted within a reasonable period after the purpose of handling the inquiry has been achieved, and is deleted without delay if you request deletion.
AI persuasion chat information is not stored on the Company's server (only daily usage counts, deleted after 3 days), and the AI vendors' retention follows the table in Section 7. The conversation does not remain on the device and disappears when you close the chat screen.
Game progress information and consent records stored on the device are deleted when you delete the App. On Android, they are also deleted if you clear the storage (data) under App info in the system Settings. "New Game" in the game erases only the progress information in the current slot. Deleted game progress information cannot be recovered.
If you have turned on your operating system's device backup feature (iCloud Backup, Google backup, etc.), information stored on the device may be included in that backup, which is subject to the policies of the relevant operating system provider.
9. Automatic Collection Tools
The App does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or tools that collect behavioral information for personalized advertising. The information described in Section 2 is used only for the Company's service improvement and error fixing, and is not combined with information collected from other companies' apps or websites to track you or used for advertising.
10. App Permissions
The App does not request any separate device permissions, such as camera, photos, location, contacts, or notifications.
11. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of your information. If you contact us through the request form on the support page (https://baseballscoutnotes.sanglimsoft.com/support/) or by email (support@sanglimsoft.com), we will verify and take action. Because the App has no accounts, the Company cannot on its own match a requester to the records described in Section 2. When making a request, please tell us your device type and the approximate date you installed the App; we will then find the corresponding records and take action, and if we cannot identify them, we will let you know. In the app, you can request deletion right away under Settings › Privacy settings › Delete my data.
You may decline to consent to the player contract persuasion chat (AI), and you can keep using the rest of the App if you do. Even if you have already consented, conversation content is no longer sent once you stop using the persuasion chat. You can withdraw at any time under Settings › Privacy settings › AI data notice › [Withdraw consent]; once withdrawn, only the persuasion chat becomes unavailable.
You can delete game progress information stored on your device yourself using the methods described in Section 8 (deleting the App or clearing the App's data).
